2023 Renovation – Ring Options

How do I pick the right size binder?

The secret to determining the best size of your custom binder starts with knowing the sheet size and the bulk of your content. It is common to request a 2" binder because of the width of the spine, however in the binder world, a 2" binder will have the capacity to hold 2" of content  sheets and have an actual spine size of 2.75". The same will apply to the size of the covers. This same 2" capacity binder for a standard 8.5" x 11" sheet, including an extra 0.5" for an index tab, will have an actual cover size of 11.25" x 11.625" tall.

How do I know what ring type to choose?

Ring mechanisms come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, colors, and functionality, from a simple 3-ring metal with open & close boosters, to a 6" expandable post metal and everything in-between. The type of ring mechanism you choose will depend on a variety of factors, including, what type and how much content will it hold? How and where will the binder be used? How long should it last?
